ClustersThe York County Republican Party has divided the 80 active precincts into eight "clusters" to make it easier to organize. Here's information on how it works.
WHAT ARE CLUSTERS Clusters are a group of precincts located near each other. Clustered precincts were setup because there are now 96 York County precincts, too many for the County Chairman and the Executive Committee. Clusters are the communications go-between the grassroots precincts and the Executive Committee. WHERE ARE THE CLUSTERS York County has eight clusters. Each one covers six to 14 precincts. They are Clover, Fort Mill, Lake, Rock Hill North, Rock Hill, Tega Cay, York, York Southeast. HOW CLUSTER LEADERS ARE SELECTED A Cluster Leader must be committed to being actively involved in the GOP and communication follow-through, especially involving Precinct Presidents and Neighborhood Captains. The York County GOP Executive Committee can appoint a cluster leader to fill a vacancy or has the authority to replace a leader who does not fulfill their duties.
